Sam’s is a lunchtime social gathering open to all Catenians, wives, family and friends.
The format is that a speaker will present a talk on a topical subject for approximately 30 minutes.
This is followed by an informal and convivial lunch and an opportunity to get together for a chat amongst friends.
Affectionately just known as Sam’s nowadays, the event was originally established as Sam’s Luncheon Club and was a way for our mainly retired Catenian gentlemen to meet up for a lunch. Today it is a much more informal affair.
Sam’s takes place bi-monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at Ringway Golf Club. The guest speaker and the subject of the talk are announced in advance. The provisional dates for 2025 are below but always check the Provincial Diary to confirm the date and details of the speaker.

All bookings should be made by the Wednesday prior to the Sam’s on the following Tuesday.
Late bookings cannot be guaranteed and will need to be confirmed.
When you book please specify any dietary requirements which Ringway Golf Club will always do their utmost to accommodate.
Price is £23.00 per head for 2025.
RGC prices have been revised for 2025 as expected and the new price is for our 2 course lunch; a paid lunch and bottle of wine for the guest speaker; a gratuity.

Preferably NO CASH as Ringway Golf Club does not accept cash. Please note that for non-Club members they are happy to accept card payments at the bar. There is no change in arrangements here as that has been the situation since we moved Sam’s to Ringway Golf Club in April 2023.

Ringway Golf Club can be conveniently accessed from the M60 and is just 4 minutes from junction 6 or 10 minutes from the centre of Altrincham. It is located opposite Holy Angels church in Hale Barns.
